How much money spent on fraudulent research?

A large portion of the money donated by the public on cancer research is spent on animal research, which, from the beginning, was widely condemned as a waste of time and resources . For example, consider the former director Dr. Irwin Bross the Sloan-Kettering - the largest cancer research institute in the world - and then Director of Biostatistics at Roswell Park Memorial Institute for Cancer Research, Buffalo, NY: "The uselessness of most studies on animal models is well known.

For example, the discovery of chemotherapeutic agents for the treatment of human cancer is heralded as a triumph due to use of animal models. However, these exaggerated statements arrive or are supported by the same people that receive federal dollars for animal research.

There is little evidence or no, to support these statements. Indeed, while conflicting animal results have often delayed or impeded the progress of the war on cancer, the same have never produced a single substantial progress in the prevention and treatment of human cancer. For example, virtually all chemotherapeutic agents that may be of utility in the treatment of human cancer have been discovered in a clinical context rather than as a result of animal studies. "

Indeed Many substances that cause cancer in humans are marketed as "safe" based on animal tests. Dr. Werner Hartinger of Germany, on the carcinogen chemical-pharmaceutical-petroleum industry, said, "Their constant consumption is legalized on the basis of misleading animal experiments ... that seduce the consumer into a false sense of security."

Imagine what could be achieved

The next time you're asked to donate money to an organization against cancer, keep in mind that your money will be used to support an industry that is deemed by many eminent scientists as a perfect failure and by others as a total scam. If you want to make a difference informed that these organizations will not make their donations until they adopt an approach focused on prevention and study of the human condition.
We have the power to change things so that their current way of approaching the problem does not give profit.
E ' only through our donations and our taxes that these institutions survive on their current path, is void.
